This one more reason we went with the 1 practice 6 qual format. That adds an additional resort which offers a chance to move up the heat board into better groups twice.
I understand EA, but you can't please everyone. Last year we heard complaints from some about trying the fastest 5 consecutive laps. There were concerns that some would run max. timing, big gear, just to get some fast laps in and up their seed.
I could always set the heatboard myself I guess, or we could treat the single practice as a seeding run. I feel it makes no difference, as people will always have their own opinion as to what heat they "should have" been in.
