WooHoo,

Got my new D3 piston and sleeve this afternoon, so I tossed the 5 port liner over my shoulder and slotted in the 3 port. Couldn't wait to fire up the new starterbox and get the RS5/D3 conversion running. I'm impatient I am.

Anyhow, a few drops of after run oil so it wouldn't start dry and it was then hook up the fuel line and it took about 2 bumps and it was running Tuned it on the rich side and then let it idle for 3 mins and shut it down to cool. Did this again 3 more times until the tank was dry and that's the end of the day's play for today.

I'm thinking I'll use the guy from RB Mods's method of break in and see how that goes. The D3 has wicked compression though so I'll just be gentle with it.

Cheers,

Mike.
