I'm with you Jason, set and forget. The noise is a little annoying when a steel on steel mesh isn't perfect but once its right, its one part of the driveline you dont need to worry about.

I used to have some noise issues but this year Ive been using the card stock thickness method and its been alot quieter and my pinons have been lasting twice as long. Card stock is the thick paper on packaging of many plastic packaging you see r/c parts in, I also have used the same card stock from std. business cards to get the mesh just right.
