No problem.. honestly I didn't want to go chrome either, but after seeing that it's a matte-ish chrome and not bright shiny chrome it's not too bad and I elected to keep it.

You can try stripping the chrome - I put the wheels in a bath of Zepp Purple Industrial cleaner in an ultrasonic cleaner and it had the chrome all off in about 5 minutes.
