How well does this car compare to the AE and CRC car? I personally like the design, but I'm curious why people want to use parts from other cars?
Mainly parts availability and convenience. Lots of tracks carry CRC and AE parts. The first run of Serpent kingpins were notoriously brittle, and would snap right where the threads ended (in the plastic), so you'd have to replace the kingpin and plastic block. The CRC kingpins are stronger, and they bend instead of break.
