The steering blocks are the same side to side, don't worry about the bevel. I've built several R12s and not had to dremel any thing on the blocks to make them fit, not sure what that is about.
V2 arms have been out for some months now.
The springs all show the wire diameter and number of turns on the header card and you can tell the relative stiffness from that. They go like this, from soft to stiff:
front: copper, silver (kit), gold
side: black, copper(kit), silver, gold
shock: black, copper(kit), silver, gold
