But this whole topshaft pinning is highly exaggerated.
I see folks claiming that they are a whole second a lap faster.
Claiming that this truck has a massive acceleration now, opposite then before
The biggest effect this topshaft pinning has is psychological
O yes, you may be a second faster, but it is the driver for sure, not the pinned topshaft, not the whole second that they claim
its a hype
If there are people who are seriously running faster laps, and there are pro's who are running fster lapes, then it must not be hype. I cannot say that a pinned topshaft will be better for everyone and every track condition, but as you can see from others opinions on this site, they claim to be faster. Further more, how can you prove it is a placebo effect?
And Craig, there is no reason to call people morons. It is not as if this is a mod that has been done by everyone, knowing how it should be properly set up. When trying something new, there are sometimes unintended consiqueses due to unseen variables.
The freak, the only thing I have broken has been a shock shaft end. My front bumper skind ikid is pretty worn, and I also wore out the rear skid. Oh, and I also wore out the annodize on the inide of one of my shocks. lol. and as previously stated by others, the stock a-arms have a tendency to sag or bow.
