Geared my TZ last night at 5.8+ and lacked a bit of infield punch. Tried 6.0+ and found it much better all around. Fast on the straight and punch in the infield. Rice and I were both fast all around. Track straight was 35 meters with a 28 meter back straight and a tight infield. Will try a one tooth smaller pinion next time.
have you guys tried adjusting the brush hoods yet.??? there is a lot of power to be made with these motors... .. You can pick up a "HUGE" ammount of Torque and Reponse speed from a few small adjustments of the brush hoods and getting the play out of the negative brush ..(tight fitting in the brush hood)

also after about 4 packs the bushings might be broken in also...
this motor seems to like the comm a bit small.. when I 1st bought the motor the comm was at 7.6mm but now I have the Comm around 7.4 and it keeps getting better...
6.0 for your final drive..?? hmmm each motor is a bit different..but try a 5.9.. and see how that works
I"ll have to post a Picture of what I am talking about with the Hood alignment
