It's a bad controller. Mine does the same thing. So have others reported.

I've tried it in my regular track (where old AM radios work fine), yet this controller glitches, signal losses, car crashing hard.

I've tried in my garage, same issue. Signal losses.

Sadly this controller is aimed at beginners, who will leave the hobby because of a poorly designed controller.
