I called one of our semi local tracks that club race twice a month and was told the 4wd class is "Open". I showed up with a conservatively geared 1509 1820kv & M.M.M. and 3s and was chastized and quickly & rudely informed that they follow ROAR rules. They went on to explain the "Open" means for 540/550 motors only.
For a HobbyShop track that organizes club races I think the rules should be a bit accommodating provideing your not running a crazy set up IMHO ?
