Your right about the normal gaskets splitting.
It seems to me that the coloured or translucent ones are all pretty weak. The best we found were the black Serpent ones. They have sort of a matt finish and are a bit tougher than all the coloured ones - still nowhere near as tough as the "O" rings, though.
I find if the header isn't aligned exactly right, the gasket will be split in no time - puts too much pressure in one spot. A "springy" mounting wire makes matters worse.
Haven't tried the Team Titan or GQ ones.

The only reason we caught on to the o-ring was that the older JP Rex .21 engines we ran came with them as standard. The Team Titan ones come in red and blue but they are similar in texture to the Serpent ones.

Howard at Titan Racing told me that RD Logics are the importers for the US. Havent seen much about them from their site etc so not sure what the story is.
