Cecil Schumacher built his business on 12th cars, starting back in 1981. First it was a lexan car (
here) the XL, and then the C Car (
here) bith of which were very successful in Europe
Cecil Schumacher invented the ball differential in about 1980, and although it said 'Patent Pending' on the parts, he never did get a patent. Cecil was a gearbox engineer, and he used a design from a gear checking machine as the basis for his design. IT is Cecil's original design that has been copied by everyone else. HTH
