if you go to each manufactures web site they all tell you how to break engines in differently. but the biggest thing in breaking them in is that the motor has to get to atleast 200 degrees. If not the piston and sleeve are not going to wear in right. And you will wear them out faster. But the mt 12 is a great motor. not the fastest out but very reliable and will work great for novice.
