Well yeah but check the space between the right side of the pinion and the motor mount. there is hardly 1mm of space in between, so you can't move the pinion any further away from the spur gear, or put in a bigger pinion.
Edit: I added another pic, i think the angle of the first pic could be misleading on how the motor mount is in relation to the pinion gear.
