Default Novak

So recently I bought a Novak Kinetic and ballistic motor. This weekend, I went to run the car and the capacitor blew as soon as I pressed the accelerator. I emailed [email protected] but I haven't heard back from Novak yet, but this afternoon I took the ESC and motor off the car, and I happened to notice something odd about the motor. It didn't seem to have any magnetic resistance when turning the rotor. Odd I thought, so I took the front piece off and saw that the 4 magnets had broken off the rotor, 1 of the magnets is actually broken into 2 or 3 pieces inside the stator. What a nightmare this is. I didn't overheat the motor or ESC, the trans-cap module was installed incorrectly by the factory, but it hasn't been wrecked or dropped. What the heck is going on? I know I should have paid more attention but the last time I ran it, I thought the battery just went low. I just figured the low voltage cut-off had come and I picked it up, turned it off, and put it away. Now I'm thinking the rotor broke and that added to the capacitors failure. I'm using a 7.4v LiPo. I'm running stock timing and I keep close eyes on the motor temps, they were never outside of the safe ranges. Please opinions. It seems like I'm going to have to make a warranty claim.

Edit: Well when I first looked at it, it looked like it was 4 magnets. When I looked closer, it turns out its just one continuous magnet broken into about 4 pieces.
