yes it works great, yes its flamable, and it is the absolute bees knees for cleaning you're 540. Also clean the comm with a cottom bud with some shellite on it once you've run it in too.

Having the motor in the shellite before you've hooked it up is a recipe for disaster, but if you have the motor running, and then dunk it, it WILL NOT set alite.

Next thing with shellite, wait for it to dry before you connect it again while it's on you're table, or it will set alight.
