83 North drops right into Lemoyne and then they will be stuck in that middle of Harrisburg crossing the river traffic. And once they hit that bridge, their GPS wants to take them up Front Street to 322 which can be a pain in the butt.
Interstate 283 can be picked up at Highspire to miss all of that traffic between Lemoyne and the Bass Pro Shops exit. You are correct State route 283 goes to Lancaster.
