Honestly, I don't believe that anymore, I think you really don't need to run with fast guys to become faster.

You get faster when you learn to hit the fast line consistently.....look at Tim Covell at the Vintage Nats., he hit his line every lap, and put down almost the same times as Vin only with a 17.5...... it's all about consistency and clean driving, no matter who you're racing against.

Also, you do need to learn how to tune your car according to track and not your driving style, you have to adjust your driving according to your car's potential, not the other way around. If you take a Kyosho, Associated, and Losi, tune them according to track conditions, they will feel fairly close....

That's what I've learned, and other little things...
