If I understand correctly, AE suggests to use 32P spur/pinion gears for 550 motors and 48P for 540. My problem is that I already purchased a 13T pinion for my kit and now I'm not sure if the motor I have is a 550 or 540. If my motor is in fact a 540, do I have to buy 48P pinion gear that can fit a 5mm shaft or can I still use the 32P spur/pinion gear set-up?
Thanks in advance for the help and pardon me for asking silly questions.
I personally have not seen a 540 can with a 5mm shaft. However I will say that if the motors torque requires a 5mm shaft than its a safe bet you need 32 pitch gears. The 550 can motors have 5mm shafts.
