Forgot about the LST shocks... I've tried running them, don't do it!!
They add a MASSIVE amount of weight to the truck, especially when you factor in the fitting kit, and most of the weight is high up on the truck so the centre of gravity is raised and the truck becomes more likely to role. When I had a set of the alloy ones on my nitro savvy, with the Innovative RC fitting kit, I put it on the scales, and it was ~600g heavier than it was with the HPI Alloy BBs with alloy caps on
They're longer than the normal savvy shocks too, so you have to put spacers on the inside on the shafts, to shorten the travel and lower the ride height back to norm. That's not such a biggy.
Strength wise they're not great either, even with the optional Titanium shafts they bend quite easily with heavy bashing.
