I picked up one a couple years back. I converted it to lipo, brushless and put in a new set of bearings. Set it up for VTA and TQ'd the car. If you want to update, I'd get a brushless ESC and motor combo along with a lipo just for the voltage cutoff built into almost every current ESC. If you want to stay cheap, a stick pack will work fine until you upgrade. Those TC3s are truly great cars.
