The top of that piston looks like sandblasted hammered crap, the button probably looks the same. The rod looks pelted too.

Looks like the piston skirt is fine from the pics. Have a look at your bearings for a piece of missing race. Some kind of aluminum or metal is missing from somewhere for that damage to happen, not that it matters any more
