A gear diff will add a lot of steering and free up the car when the bite really comes up. Folks that run Mod like it becuase it not only adds steering, but is less maintenance between runs. It really has its pros and cons.
For me, I race stock. You just cant beat a buttery-smooth ball diff. The ball diffs are a bit lighter too, less rotational mass.
