I'm running 2mm on outer ball and have not noticed eyelet rubbing on the wheel. I will double check to see if i'm using a long ballstud when I get home. Though, I do believe it is really close. Maybe your ballstud pulled out a little. I know I did have to get the 10mm thread length ballstud because when I initially used 2mm washer I had the stock ballstud pull out of the caster block.
