Well did some more testing today on my SC104x4 i layed the shocks all the way down front and back and did some drilling on the front piston. Although with the stock 2stg piston holes and 20/25 worked great i know there is more in it and i think i found it! While it looks cool pulling wheelies down the straight in reality its doing this because there is too much frt rebound. And i felt that it need some stability and pack especially with the fast motors. i also noticed that it has a tendency to go nose up on jump take offs and i think that the front was bottoming out and throwing the nose up on occasion. I feel that the rear is perfect for almost all situations outdoors and all but the stickiest tracks.
So i drilled the front compression up to 1.2 from 1.1 and i increased the oil from 20wt to 30wt. this slowed down the rebound and just slightly increased compression. This seemed to do the trick its jumping attitude is much better and in general the truck is more stable. We have some in turn rollers that i had to brake before hand to make or it wanted to go up on two wheels if i wasnt careful, this went away as now i can just drive through it. 27.5 may be better but i didnt have any to try. Im going to try the same thing on the front of my 1/8 scale and see what happens, although its already an animal!
so now the SC10 is:
1.2/1.3 front 30wt
1.1/1.3 rear 25wt
