Looks like there may be some issues with the new F201. I seriously think that Tamiya wanted to test the waters so to speak with this kit. To see the interest level, research and development. Once the kits hit the streets (and they have) they will take note how many were sold and where are they selling most at. Once this is done, research and development, then you'll start to see improvements on the kits, such as fixing that "fixed" gear ratio and the "shaft" issue. Tamiya always do there homework before putting out a new product, this one wont be any different. I'm sure new and improved parts are on the drafting tables as we speak, and you know that the TFR version is not far away either.
