Default Rx8 Problem: Initializing issue

It's been one of those weeks! I can't get registered to tekin's forum as it won't "allow" my verizon.net or my yahoo mail account???

Anyways, here is my dilema and hoping for a solution.

I have a RX8, SC4x 5.5, spektrum dx3r/sr3100rx, savox 1258tg, and a power cap to rx. in a SC10 4x4.

I had some glitching upon assembly which I was trying to narrow down. The "old" sr3100 had a cracked case so I installed the one from my B4 which is tried and true.

I plugged RX8 into my hotwire, running newest version (212 i think), and set the settings for brushless fwd/brake/no reverse, 2s cutoff, multiple neutral width settings, multiple timing settings, etc.

I've properly completed the bind to the rx many different times. The servo is perfectly operational. The RX8 upon power up does nothing for a few seconds. (this is the time period that it used to initialize and chime) then after 4-5 seconds it lights up the first three lights together. then another three lights "forward" on the scale, then the last three lights.

The error code makes me believe that it's stuck in "pit tune" mode but I'm uncertain. I can hold input... nothing, hold input/inc together.. nothing.

Then, what's really got me looped is that when I power down, bring it back to the hotwire, I see that it's at factory reset with 1s battery, 56 neutral width, etc....

Now I've since reset the hotwire settings, unplugged rx8, then plugged in the rx8 to hotwire again and it "remembers" the settings. As soon as I power it up with my battery I get the same thing all over again. I've also tried two different batteries and have verified that hey have over 8.2v showing.

I've verified all sc4x wires are properly installed.

I'm at a loss at this point, I'm opening the door for the RCtech crowd, and maybe randy pike to try and point me in the right direction. I'm aware and can go through the service process through tekin but I wanted to try this first.

Thoughts, ideas, and help welcome... To the guys I race with, keep the smack talk to a minimum..
