The 4.5 is to torquey all the throttle is right in the beginning where as the 6.5 is way smoother and the power is more on the top so you can work the throttle better no so on/off. I think i'm gonna switch it back before the race tomorrow.
I've found I like the feel of my 540 better. Just as you described it made it easier to be smooth. I'm just as fast as the 550 guys at my local track (tight indoor) and the truck feels very consistant. I run a ballistic 540 6.5 turn with a 14mm rotor.
I burn about 1500-1800mah in 6 minute heat.
