Technically--drawing 100+ amps on 4s with an 1/8 scale I think 10 gauge is more appropriate. My Hobbywing 150a Xerun came with 10g and the 5000 maH, 40c Turnigy I am using came with 8 gauge! For most 10th scale apps, 14 should be sufficient with 12 g for high traction, low turn motors. Trinity used to make a nice 13 g wire which is a great comprimise.
