Default Brownout or esc issue?

I run a 1/10 shortcourse with a hobbyking 120a 1/5-1/8 esc (bought before I knew very much about anything). It has a limit of 7,5T offroad motors according to it's manual. With this, i run the Castle 1410.

The issue is, that about halvway into a battery, I frequently get "throttle brownout" meaning that the car totally loses power, and stands there for a good 2-4 seconds(sometimes less). During this time I can control the steering servo.

The glitch does seem to start after the truck takes a hit, for example after landing a jump, and then continues to return on any stretch of the track.

When i run on a flat surface i can get to lvc without any issues. But when i mix in some jumping, the glitch comes a while into a battery.

I have a 3300uf voltage protector connected to the receiver.

The fact that i can control the wheels during the glitch leads me to believe that it is not a radio brownout, and that the problem is more inclined to come from the esc.

Any ideas?
