At 50A they start to struggle and heat up!
Move to 4mm bananas at least, this things push well over 80A without even heating!! Although I'd recommend 5.5/6mm, they can push well above 120A (it's what I'm gonna do when I switch to saddles, on the 25C straight 5.5mm is not needed because the batt can barely supply enough amps to heat them up).
8mm is awesome, but overkill imho. And bulky as hell. 180A is no problem for them.
Can't wait to try a saddlepack setup

I've never had any issues at all with Deans connectors, and I perfer them over other connectors.

Deans are fine. Their ratings are 60A continuous . I have yet to hurt any Deans or TRX connectors using many different motor/cell combinations in 2wd or 4wd SC or with any of my 1/8 scale stuff. We're not out there putting that much continuous load on them.
Agreed. The only difference between this set up and a regular stick pack is Milliamp Hours.
