I think 550 is a good price point for a car that doesn't need a bunch of parts. Even my NT1's get a heap of option parts, I just built a new kit with brass engine mount and about 10 other things. The mugen comes with weights and everything else. Maybe more weight is needed but it would get you close. No different brake pads, no pad springs, no $100 dollar clutch set(hd clutch) , No plastic diff gears to source. I think it's on track with the cap car for options and even easier to work on. Brilliant really. Add to that that from the pictures it looks like you need a fair bit of weight to ballast up to min weight.
