Here is the thing with the long chassis. The car as it comes is still very good. If you put that car in a capable persons hands that car will go just as fast as the long chassis car. With that being said the long chassis is slightly easier to get around the track, so to the middle of the road driver it will feel much better.

Also the chassis is not just for rough tracks. It is in my opinion better on all surfaces.
