He's already mentioned what happened. If you put the spool in upside down in the 416, the blue outdrives touch the bottom of the bulkhead cap, which knackers the alloy, and heats the plastic outdrives up so they literally melt into a pile of goo.... (trust me, done this! )

On the 417, doesn't happen, as the bulkhead caps had some material removed from underneath for clearance
