i dont know if you have already done this but put some o rings (like you use in the shocks) behind teh shock tower where the screws go through.
tighten the shock tower up just until the orings start to compress then any impact it takes the orings take most of the shock.
i did this on my old xxx4 after i broke a shock tower and i didnt break one again
