I use a sanding block for drywall. Mine though is well used from projects around the house. I move it back and forth down then up, just one trip down the block and once back up the block, and then turn it 180 degrees. Turn the pad over and repeat. If the glazing is light it works. When I have glazed the pads really good I work at them a little more. A lot of people use a razor knife but I personally feel this will clean the pads more even.
