what is the proper way of disposing lipo?
submerge in salted water or short the battery pack. im a little scared to shorten the leads as it may explode in my face.
any advise?
FYI its a 4s 5400mah 40c battery from turnigy
stored the battery at 60% capacity about 1 week ago. and it ballooned today
The salt water immersion is not recommended anymore - what is recommended is discharging the pack to 0v - usual way is with a 1157 auto tail light bulb. Harvest the leads/connectors and twist the remaining wires together.
It may puff even worse as you attempt this, so do it where it can't hurt anything.
