Pinion Question
I have a bizzare pinion. I have a set of robinson gears that go down to 24 teeth. Sopmewhere in the bottom of my box, I then found a 23 tooth pinion. At least it says 23 on it. When I count the teeth, it does in fact have 23 teeth. However, the outside diameter of the gear is much larger than the 24 tooth pinion from robinsion. My question is, if I run it, will it still give me the effect of a 23 tooth pinion, or will the larger diameter make it seem geared higher?
