Where are you topping out at down the longest straight?

Based on what the late Big Jim (one of the premier motor guys of his day) stated to me, You want to initially gear your vehicle to top out towards the end of the longest straight, then adjust your gearing accordingly based on how it feels going around the track as well as temps.

In general using this method, I have found that I would at most go 2 teeth more or less than what was set using this method. usually would just go with what was found.
