does this equate to a noticeable difference in on the track performance???

i'm thinking of copying what you have done here simply to avoid any potential belt jumping issues from the chassis flex (only happened to me once after the successfully completing the biggest lawn dart in the history of rc), so performance gains will be a bonus.
