On Saturday, I was using worn out kit/medium fronts with option/soft rears, all with the stock insert.

As for the damper tube, we experimented with all of Tamiya's settings: from light (Tamiya diff lube) all the way to heavy damper grease. I felt that with a softer grease, the car would transition left to right very quickly and could be a handful in the kink/dogleg and through the esses. With medium grease, it felt about right. I then tried hard grease and I believe it mellowed it out too much, to the point that I had to break it loose on purpose to get it to transition...which made it hard to drive.

Also, heavier grease on the front king pins made the steering much more reactive. I am settling with either soft or medium grease.
