Spec GT Guys....
There has been lots of talk about the gearing in Spec GT. I have talked with a few racers and John B today.
We have a few options...
1. Stay with 6.8 or above FDR and use handout motors. But when we say 6.8 or above, we don't mean 6.6 because thats the closest you can get. 6.8 or above and thats that.
2. Use the FDR that is used in the TT01 with speed gears. Either 5.72 (55/25) or 6.28 (58/24) depending what gear you use. Handout motors.
3. Unlimited Gearing, own motor.
There are good points and bad points about every option.
My vote would be to use the TT01 gearing. Specifically the 5.72. Every car has its sweet spot and that will give us enough of a range to find it.
