I have never seen this hold true. Its usually the ones that throw their vehicles in a vehicle and go from race to race with no maint that have the fits. I always find something that needs to be fixed as I go through my vehicle. So on race day I rarely dnf unless its something that I have done wrong from lack of experience/knowledge.
