im currently running HT pads with the thrust washer shimmed and the spring is fully compressed. it is definitely much better than stock, but i still am getting a small amount of unwanted slip. pads are glazed after a day.
Be careful when smashing down that slipper spring. By just snugging the nut down on the rear top shaft to where the spring was compressed on my truck was enough to bend the top shaft.
I decided to order some new HT pads with the light weight top shaft and MTK clutch basket. The light weight shaft and clutch basket felt as light or lighter than the stock top shaft. The new pads were different material. Much darker color than the ones i had in their before.
After a full day of racing i noticed no fade at all on my slipper and amazing punch out of the corners. Just cave in and get the clutch basket and stop wasting money on pads.
