Looks like I'll be another proud owner of a clutch basket next week. Ran my truck Saturday and installed a HD slipper pad. Getting some decent slip out of it and by the end of a pack you could really feel it's acceleration getting slower from the slipping pad. Didn't melt anything but definately heated it up.
Other than that I worked on my driving skills and was getting more use to the truck. Still didn't complete a single fully clean lap but by the end of practice I wasn't flipping it over every time and had most sections down pretty good. Can't wait to race this truck again.
The only issue I had other than the slipper was a shock shaft pulling out of the rod end on the right rear. Landed from one jump on the top of another and wrenched the shaft out of the rod end. Dropped in a little CA glue then re-threaded the shaft into the rod end and no more problem. Will be tearing down the truck this week though to see if anything else is damaged...figure better safe than sorry. I beat the snot out of this truck and so far it has taken whatever I can throw at it...which is saying a lot!
