You folks stated that the VTX1 was right behind the VTX10 and 10R in development, and never explained why it was delayed until now. You folks have said (post 1303 above) that esc's that will support sensorless operation will be coming out in the future.
Was it unreasonable of me to wonder if the two were connected?

Easy there, It is in development but we arent going to release it until its ready. Thats how it works. We didnt develop the 10 r in days or weeks. It took some time. Please be patient. I can hurry up and send you one but I cant gurantee that it will work cause it hasnt been tested. When it is out you will know so just be patient.
