I did a search for this a couple different ways (I promise!) but I didn’t see the answer to my question. I apologize if it is in this thread as, I didn’t see it and only read about 25 of the 200+ pages.
Here is my question:
I’m just getting back into off-road and picked up an SC10 4x4 and am just about finished with the build. A local racer who has one was showing me his truck and mentioned that he doesn’t use the removable ESC tray or receiver box stating that they were more trouble than they were worth and ended up trapping dirt and “crud” underneath and inside of them.
To those of you racing the truck (my truck will only be used for racing/practicing – no bashing) are you running these? Why or why not?

I do run with the tray in, but it can and does trap dirt. Its just my preference, it makes it easy to remove the electronics, so...
