Yes. This will give the slipper part that handles the rear drive three friction surfaces to control the slip to the rear drive. More surface= less tension, less heat, and less fade.
2wd had less weight and two pads to make power. This truck is heavy and then AE took away one pad to drive the front. On mine the front does not slip hardly at all but the rear slips a lot. The nature of the design we only have one spring and nut to control the bite for both ends of the truck. AE gave us the HT pads but they are still not really enough for the hot motors. .
