Worse come to worse it'll take around $22.50 to have the the pair rear hubs+ all the parts to be replaced..good to have spares for the track anyway.
Small needle nose and just angle it to grab the axle and tip of the roll pin and get it started. You might take your pliers and squeeze the roll pin on the side you want to pass thru the axle to make it easier. It sounds like it might be just a bit deformed at this point.
You could also dremel one of the ends off and then do what Cherry said and PUNCH IT!
