Well I just thought 16t was to much and would cause overheating, I ran it with the 16t/62p last week at the indoor track and after about 4-5 laps it was tempted around 160 I believe, so I'm thinking maybe if I drop the spur down to say a 56 I should be fine...... It depends on the motor. If it's a short, small track (like the one you linked a video to on NC) a 15 is probably too big.
If you're not looking to gear higher (IE bigger pinion) then the bigger spur gears aren't in your cards...but they do allow more finite gear ratio adjustment.
